§ 30-5. Voting time; election results.

The polls shall open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. at which time the managers of the election shall transfer the votes cast to the county election commission where a statement is made of the whole number of votes cast in such election together with the number of votes cast for each candidate for mayor and councilman and transmit this information to the municipal election commission. The person receiving the majority of the votes shall be declared elected. Members of the municipal election commission shall be available to the poll managers and polling places throughout the election day.
