§ 26-26. Municipal court costs established.

Whenever the municipal court shall impose a fine for any conviction, bond forfeiture, or plea of guilty or nolo contendere, then there shall be assessed for each offense a charge of $25.00 to defray the cost incurred by the city in the operation of municipal court. The assessed charge shall be separate from and in addition to the fine or any other charge, fee, or assessment provided by law. The assessed charge shall not be affected by the court's suspension of the fine, in whole or in part.
