§ 26-20. Cash bonds.

The municipal judge shall determine and fix the amount of all cash bonds to be deposited by persons held in the city jail on charges preferred or to be preferred for violations of city ordinances. Such cash bonds, when deposited, shall be conditioned upon appearance before the municipal judge, at the session of municipal court next after the deposit of such bond to answer the charges. The nonappearance to answer to such charges by any person so released on bond shall constitute and be a forfeiture of the bond to the city. The municipal judge shall determine and fix the amount, form and condition of all bonds when cases are continued or when there is an appeal.
